Marta Antelo

I don't think I need to say much about Marta's work. There is a lot more on her website for you to browse through. I particularly like her character section.  She has done a lot of magazine and book work. Her style is one that I am always drawn to as I flick through magazines.

Block shop textiles

I am a sucker for any traditional hand printing method and block printing is one of my favourites! The simplicity of it means you don't need lots of expensive equipment. The unevenness and unpredictability of each print is what makes it so fun.

Block shop is and Indian textile company founded by sisters Lily and Hopie Stockman. Their scarves are printed by hand, one at a time, using non- toxic vegetable dyes.
They work with the Chhipa family of master printers, who have been using this method of printing with natural dyes for over 350 years!

Block printing is something that we could all do, and get really lovely results.

Tom frost

I have seen Tom Frosts work around in various shops and on various products for a while and I love it all! When I stumbled upon his blog the other day I was very excited to be able to look at more of his work.

His style his so unique and you recognisable.  I love screen printing and looking through his images on his blog, makes me realise I need to do it more and set up all of my screen printing stuff properly again.

It is really interesting seeing his work applied to other products and surfaces and used in different ways, like the pub sign below.

I was a very happy bunny when my mum bought me a set of two tea towels by him for christmas. Although, they are too lovely to wipe my hands in I might have to stretch them around and hang them in the kitchen instead.
